The discovery of primeval large-scale structures with forming clusters at redshift 6

この論文では、の形成途中にあるふたつのprotoclustersを含むprimevalなlarge-scale structures（LSSs）の発見について報告する。SXDFの1 degでのnarrowバンドの深い撮像データを用いて、共動座標で180Mpc180Mpc、奥行きがだいたい40Mpcの領域での515個のLAEsについてのcosmic mapを作成した。このcosmic mapは、今日のLSSsのように、clusterとその周囲の10-40Mpc規模のボイドからなるフィラメント状のLSSsを示している。続く分光観測から、physical unitsで直径が1Mpcの球状のLAEsのclumpをふたつ含んでいる、overdenseな領域を同定した。これらのclumpsは、主にLAEsのoverdensityが大きい（）ため、星形成率密度（star formation rate density）がおよそ130倍高い。これらのclumpsは、銀河形成のバーストと関係する、形成phaseにあるclustersだろう。
